ABOUT

Lorna Stahl
Registered Psychotherapist, BCYC, MACP, CCTP-II
Hi everyone! My name is Lorna, and I became a therapist because I believe deeply in the healing power of presence and connection with one another. My path into this work was shaped by my own lived experiences growing up, creating a space in me to honour both hardships and resilience, and how inner transformation can emerge from the places we once thought were beyond repair.
The Brave Wave Mission

Our overall mission is to create a safe and compassionate space to help individuals find courage and strength in navigating life's emotional waves. We believe that healing begins with bravery and a willingness to face what feels overwhelming.
Our goal is to empower clients to learn to ride the waves of emotion with an increased sense of self-awareness, confidence and self-trust. Whether it’s trauma, stress, anxiety or major life transitions, our goal is to support you in moving into an empowered sense of growth and help you discover that even the biggest waves can lead you to powerful, lasting transformations.
What Being A Therapist Means To Me
Being a therapist means holding space for the parts of you that often go unseen - the pain, the confusion, the hope, the quiet strength beneath it all. It’s all about meeting you where you are at and walking alongside you as you reconnect with your truth, resilience and your capacity to heal.
To me, therapy isn’t about “fixing” what’s broken, it’s about witnessing the full human experience with compassion, curiosity and courage. It truly is an honour to be invited into people’s most vulnerable stories and to help each of my clients rediscover the power that’s always been within them.
Being a therapist means believing in the possibility of change, even when it feels distance, and helping you find safety and meaning on your journey home to yourself.
